About Grön
Grön was founded in Oregon in 2015 by Christine Apple, an architect turned chocolatier, and started with a single dark chocolate bar. The company is based in Portland and now sells its edibles in several U.S. states and in Canada.
Its best-known line is Pearls: small sugar-coated gummies. Mega Pearls are single pieces about five times the size of a standard Pearl, and Grön also makes candy-coated chocolate Pips and Fair Trade chocolate. In 2023 Grön reformulated its Oregon Pearls, Mega Pearls, Pips and chocolate with rosin, a solventless extract.
In January 2026, Wyld, the Portland gummy company, announced plans to acquire Grön, saying no brand or product changes were planned.
